How Long Do I Wait Before Asking My Doctor About Prednisone-related Joint Pain?

I have been on prednisone for 9 days for an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. I have three more days at the lowest dose (10 mg). Today I have been experiencing increasing joing pain in my hands, wrists, and fingers. I don’t want to overreact — is this normal? Will it get better in a day or two, or do I need to contact my doctor now? Everything I’ve read about joint pain has to do with long-term prednisone usage, not a short course like mine.
How Long Should It Take For Joint Pain To Subside Following An Attack By Yellow Jackets?

I was stung several times about 2 months ago, and developed minor joint pain about 2 weeks later. The pain has intensified over time, and has become more constant.
I would estimate that I was stung between 20 and 30 times. Most were in my calves and ancles.
Although several sources claim that yellow jackets do not leave a stinger, I know for a fact that these were yellow jackets, and I had six stingers left inside. Two in my right leg, and one each in my left leg, each arm, and left side.
The joint pain was in my knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows. My knees and hips are ok now, but my shoulders and especially my elbows have continued to worsen.
Any suggestions?
How Long Does It Take For Gout In The Foot To Heal?

My uncle just got a gout attack in his foot and he has to go on a week-long hiking trip in exactly one week. He’s leading the trip, so he can’t really back out. Is it possible for him to be back on his feet within one week?
